Iris photography
To be honest, I didn’t think creating an Iris photograph would be so much fun! In this post, I’ll be discussing the process of creating an Iris photograph. What are the challenges and what does the technical setup look like? How would you take the picture and who is it for?

Iris photography is a form of photography between art and portraits. Someone’s eye will be photographed using a high resolution camera with a macro lens. It’s vital to have a tripod. The next step would be to create a consistant light source. For this I use my professional Elinchrom studio flashes. After the photos are shot, we bring them into a photo editor to stitch multiple shots together into one nice image of one’s iris.
I made a little video to show your the process of creating the Iris photograph. If you don’t want me to take the image for you, you can try it on your own!
